Why we attend church

The church is sanctified for worship
And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest's office. Exodus 29:44

The presence of the Lord in a live service
Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Exodus 40:34

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Psalms 22:22

My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. Psalms 22:25

I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. Psalms 35:18

To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Psalms 63:2

    Answers from heaven
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Psalms 73:17 (sometimes the answer we need will only be found in our local church)

    A visit from the Almighty
Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Psalms 96:6

    Praise music
Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. Psalms 111:1

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. Psalms 134:2

Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. Psalms 149:1

    Praise music in church
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Psalm 150:3-5

The Early Church met in Public and in Homes
And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house Acts 20:20

    Healing
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them. Matthew 21:14

    Restoration
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Galatians 6:1

    Encouragement
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
